About a year ago, I was watching the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) and saw the previews of a new show that was starting based on the lives and adventures of two young men from Columbia, SC. had a food truck that sold stuffed chicken wings that lived in Columbia.
I was intrigued to learn more and planned to watch the show just to see what it was all about. At the time, I had not realized that they had actually attended an event in Lake Carolina where I live a few years ago. I vaguely remember seeing the truck, but never had the chance to try their food.
So, yesterday at the SC State Farmers Market, I had the opportunity to to try the 2 Fat 2 Fly Stuffed Chicken Wings and let me tell you, they were GREAT! I had the Jambalaya and Mac & Cheese stuffed chicken wings and I was not disappointed at all. The Jambalaya wings had my taste buds confused. I couldn't believe I was eating all that goodness all at one time. Seasoned to perfection and delicious is the best way to describe it. I would definitely have them again and again.
But, my favorite was the Mac & Cheese! I can't tell you how good these were. I bit into a little piece of HEAVEN! They were also seasoned to perfection, delicious and mouthwatering. I would have expected them to be greasy, but they weren't at all. I also enjoyed the regular wings just as well.
I was most surprised about the Summer Corn Chowder. Originally, when I looked at it I was not sure I would like it. I made the mistake of trying a bite of it while sitting at a stop light on the way home. I have never, ever eaten anything like before. I REALLY enjoyed all the flavor combinations, the texture and the consistency. It was AMAZING! I am now a BIG fan! There was a little bit of a wait - but that's because the wings were dropped to order. No sitting around in boxes or under heat lamps, waiting to be rationed out.
I had the pleasure of meeting Ramone, after the mad rush from everyone trying to get stuffed chicken wings. Corey was not there, but the guys and young lady on the truck were all very friendly. They took pictures with anyone who wanted one and chatted with you. I really appreciated the time that Ramone took to come take a picture with me. Everyone was so nice and friendly.
I recommend that everyone follow them on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Find out where they are an go try some of the most delicious stuffed chicken wings you have every had. You won't be disappointed!
