As a Veteran, I love learning about and sharing resources for Service Members and Veterans. While attending a Women Veteran's Interactive (Meetup for Women Veterans) meeting that was held at The Big Red Barn Retreat, I learned about Free Therapeutic Yoga classes.
The Big Red Barn Retreat was founded in 2014 in memory of the late Leon Irons, USN Veteran. The BRB Retreat is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to providing healing to those in need of peace. The facility is located in Blythewood, SC on 75 acres of lush pastures and dense forest with nearly 5 miles of wooded trails, a 2-acre fishing pond, outdoor pavilion, 1,110 sq. ft. meeting room with prep area, a large sand arena with viewing area, and a big red barn with a lodge-like meeting room. The BRB Retreat is dedicated to providing non-clinical therapeutic services to active-duty and retired service members, veterans and their immediate family members who are suffering from military or combat related stress issues in a natural, relaxed setting.
The three main therapeutic services offered are:
· Therapeutic Yoga · Equine Assisted Psychotherapy · Healing Art Workshops

All classes are FREE for soldiers/vets courtesy of the Dorothy Smith Foundation.
Mondays - 9-10:30am - Yoga for service members/vets
Tuesdays - 6:00pm - Yoga Nidra for service members/vets
Thursday - 11am-12:30pm - Yoga for service members/vets
New - First Saturday of each month - 12pm - Yoga for service members/vets
Those dates will be February 6th, March 5th, April 2nd, May 7th, June 4th, July 2nd, August 6th, September 3rd, October 1rst, November 5th, December 3rd.
