Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will once again offer buy-one, get-one park admission, Tuesdays this summer, with a donation of two cans of food to Harvest Hope Food Bank. Toucan Tuesdays return to Riverbanks June 9.

The generosity of Zoo guests yielded more than 6,300 pounds of food last summer—providing 4,850 meals to feed struggling families in the Midlands. Over the last seven years, Toucan Tuesday donations have topped 23,500 pounds or the equivalent of 18,000 meals.

Pay-one-price admission isn't the only perk guests can enjoy for contributing on a Toucan Tuesday. Individuals who donate also are eligible to receive one $2 16oz. ICEE, one $2 24oz. fountain drink, plus a 2-for-$20 special on misting fans sold at various locations throughout the park (special wristbands to show proof of donation will be provided; please limit one wristband per donor).

Guests can take advantage of one Toucan Tuesday or all eleven, June 9 – August 18. Donation bins will be located at both the Zoo and Garden entrances.

The promotion applies to general admission rates only (purchase one admission and get the second for equal or lesser value free; Explorer wristbands and Riverbanks' memberships are not included). For more information, visit www.riverbanks.org.
